Had 2nd colonoscopy today after failed 1st one. I was very apprehensive as been in tremendous pain on 1st one. Today was a completely different experience. Dr Fox was incredibly caring and reassuring and put me at ease. He performed the procedure causing very little discomfort and removed a large polyp. His nursing team are also excellent. I am very grateful to them all

I was very nervous and anxious about attending hospital for this Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy because of a previous unhappy and difficult experience some (10?) years ago for a Gastroscopy at another hospital when the doctor performing the procedure became very impatient and annoyed with me because of my constant gagging, as a result her attitude increased my fear and made the experience extremely difficult. However, on this occasion my fears and anxiety were quickly dismissed by the kindness and genuine concern of Dr.Steve Fox and the Nursing staff who attended to me and who made me feel safe and relaxed from start to finish. I wish to record my thanks and appreciation for their care and very high standard of professional duty.

Great calm presence for procedure, but post colonscopy I hear nothing - no notes sent to my doctor. I'm left to try to explain to them what I remember post investigation. 8-weeks on and i'm still no better. Shocked really.

Response from Dr Stevan Fox

Very sorry to hear that. Your report would have been automatically emailed to the GP on the day of your test. Please contact us with your details and I will make sure another report is sent.

The service was smooth from start to finish and the staff lovely. They put my mind at ease and explained everything. For a procedure that can sometimes be a little uncomfortable, it was made better by the lovely staff. I don't think anything needs improving. Many thanks to all.
